【致謝特區政府《施政報告》積極支持維多利亞公園網球場重建為全天候多用途場館】

我們對香港特別行政區政府於最新一份《施政報告》中提出重建維多利亞公園網球場，並具前瞻性地將排球項目納入場地用途表示熱烈歡迎，並致以衷心感謝。

這項重要措施充分展現政府對體育發展的支持，對推動香港排球運動的長遠發展，以及促進國際級排球賽事在港舉辦，具有重大而深遠的意義。

長期以來，場地不足一直是制約本地體育發展的重要因素。全新升級的場地設施將為香港排球運動開創新里程，提供更優質的訓練、比賽及推廣平台。我們熱切期待未來能善用此世界級場地，舉辦更多國際、亞洲及大灣區等高水平賽事，進一步鞏固香港作為國際體育盛事之都的地位。

同時，優質場館亦將為香港排球代表隊提供寶貴的主場作戰平台，讓運動員能夠在本地市民的熱烈支持下全力以赴，展現香港運動員堅毅拼搏的精神，力爭佳績，為港爭光。

我們期待與政府及社會各界攜手合作，共同推動香港排球運動邁向更高水平，為香港體育事業發展譜寫新篇章。

We warmly welcome and sincerely thank the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government for proposing, in its latest Policy Address, the redevelopment of the Victoria Park Tennis Centre into an iconic all-weather multi-purpose venue and, with great foresight, the inclusion of volleyball as one of the venue’s intended uses.

This significant initiative clearly demonstrates the Government’s commitment to sports development. It will provide strong support for the long-term growth of volleyball in Hong Kong and create valuable opportunities for hosting international-level volleyball competitions in the city.

For many years, the shortage of suitable sports venues has been a major constraint on the development of local sports. The upgraded facilities will mark a new milestone for volleyball in Hong Kong, providing a high-quality platform for training, competitions, and sport promotion. We look forward to making full use of this world-class venue to host more international, Asian, and Greater Bay Area high-level tournaments, further reinforcing Hong Kong’s status as a premier destination for major international sporting events.

The new venue will also provide the Hong Kong Volleyball Team with a valuable home-court platform, allowing our athletes to compete in front of local supporters and draw strength from their enthusiastic encouragement. This will enable our players to fully demonstrate the determination, resilience, and sporting spirit of Hong Kong while striving for excellence and bringing pride to the city.

We look forward to working closely with the Government and all sectors of the community to further advance the development of volleyball in Hong Kong and contribute to a new chapter in the growth of sports in the city.
